Sharon (Janes) Lueck

I don’t feel nearly this old, so how could we be having a 50th reunion?!

I've been married for 46 years to my true love, Fred Lueck, whom I found in Chicago, we’ve had grand adventures over the decades.  My joke is that, should I ever write a book, it’s title will be “But It Was Never Boring…”

We’ve lived in Chicago, New York, Campbell again, and then in 1990, when we felt the Bay Area had reached critical mass, we moved our family to just north of Vancouver, WA, on a few acres in the woods.  We’ve remained here ever since.

We have two sons who live in Seattle right across the street from each other and have a business together.  We also have a wonderfully adventurous daughter who teaches in Anchorage but lives 45 miles out of town in a “dry cabin”  (That’s electricity/no running water) because she loves the wilds.
Grandsons ages 18, 2 ½, and 1 round out the best part of our lives.

Now retired, I had an exciting career in high tech in San Jose for some years and just when the 60 hour weeks got to me, I had an opportunity to return to United Airlines as a flight attendant, as though I’d not been away for over 20 years.  I jumped at the chance so spent the next 15 years traveling the world, often dragging my family with me.  Retirement sees me working hard on our place, training my Australian Shepherd in agility (tunnels, teeter totters, hurdles etc.,) and of course…traveling!

Upon reflection, I have to concede that perhaps I have had it all!

Looking forward to the Grand Reunion and thanks so much to all you organizers!!
