Update: July 2017

Lets see, I didn’t really know many of you as we moved to Campbell in 1961,so I had rather short stay.

So, what has been happening. I celebrate 47 years of Transcendental Mediation––never miss….

Still enjoying working with my brother, Walter, in our business Hicks Brothers Printing Equipment, LLC in South San Jose.

--------------------------------------------------------------

I got out of High School and went directly to San Jose State (or whatever they call it now) and received a BS in Mechanical Engineering.

In 1969 I began Transcendental Meditation. I missed Viet Nam by getting a job at Lockheed (Industrial Deferment). I truly believe that war is hell. I quit Lockheed to become a TM teacher. I taught for awhile, but it is non-profit, so I started my own business, Hicks Brother Printing Equipment, where I still work with my brother Walter (Campbell High class of '64). We buy and sell printing equipment. My wife and I have been fortunate  to have had many very "interesting" trips to different parts of the world dealing with the equipment.  I bought equipment in India (we loved it!- ended up spending 1 month there), Europe, Mexico and Central America--double your pleasure, a working vacation with no deadlines.

I bought an on old house in San Jose, tore it down and built a new one.

Oh yeah, I got married--second time has been great--35 years and counting. I didn't have kids, though we have always had a cat.  My wife is an artist and I have always considered myself a craftsman.

Life is Bliss--have been doing Transcendental Meditation for 43 years (and counting). It really works!
