John Sweeney

John Sweeney

I worked as a sheet rocker from 1962 – 1997 and was drafted into the army from 1965-71.

I married Jeannie Garcia of Willow Glen on 1-2-66.

Married for 51 years - I have 4 children – 10 grandchildren – 3 great grandchildren.

Memories of school have faded away and yet I remember the" Big Game"and painting the Los Gatos Cats red and blue (got caught)!  My favorite Coaches/Teachers were Lou Marrotti & John Oldham.  During high school I fondly remember working at the Kopper Kettle making donuts before and after school. I also worked at    Mendez Shell station, pumping gas, lube jobs etc.

I worked as a sheet rocker from 1962 – 1997 and during that time was also drafted into the army from 1965-71.    Army basic training was a lot of fun and I vaguely remember, Fred Nooteboom in uniform also serving.

I went back to school and was an  AA graduate from San Jose City College.

Most important I married Jennie Garcia of Willow Glen on 1-2-66 and have 4 kids and 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

I  ran across John Yontz on the Golf Course several times – good times – Bad Score!

Hey take care and I’m planning on attending the 75th reunion.
