Twenty-one years ago, a new job with the City of Coronado brought me to San Diego County where I continue to live with my wife, CeCe. We are enjoying retired life together and feel very fortunate to be able to actively and frequently travel, especially when we visit our combined family of four children and six grandchildren, ranging in age from 18 to 3.  Since none of them lives nearby, we are always making tracks up the coast to Seattle, Portland and, of course, San Jose.

I’ve been fortunate to plant my feet on all seven continents and consider the eight-month driving meander through South America with my son, Joe, as a lifetime highlight. Most recently, CeCe and I visited India with Matt (her son) and his fiancée, Piper. Now, we’re busy planning their wedding at our home this Labor Day weekend.

Before accepting the job as Director of Administrative Services in Coronado, I had worked for 17 years with the City of San Jose and managed a 60-physician medical group in San Jose. My undergraduate degree was completed at San Jose State University and I earned an MBA from Santa Clara University.

In between frequent camping outings, family trips and overseas travel, I serve on several non-profit boards including the National Civic League and Write Out Loud, a local performing arts organization.
