Glenda (Breshears) Sampley

Born 8-15-44, in O'Connor”s hospital, San Jose, CA and have one younger brother, Ron Breshears. We grew up on Hardy Ave. and I feel so fortunate to have grown up in Campbell at that time.  Attended Rosemary School, Campbell Grammar and graduated from Campbell High School.

There are so many good things I remember: Bucs Cove, cafeteria sloppy joes, Thanksgiving game;  Campbell vs Los Gatos, Copper Kettle donuts, Sno White drive-In, Fosters Freeze, What-Not gift store, fresh eggs from the Falcone’s, bus ride to San Jose for back to school shopping!

I married and had one son.  Divorced.  I have one grandson who will be going to Shasta College in Redding, CA this fall, which is the same college I studied accounting.

After graduation I worked in Silicon Valley for about 10 years and then I moved to Shasta Lake, CA.  Remarried in 1990 and have been married for 30 years.  While at Shasta Lake I worked in the medical field in the front office for a Biofeedback Therapist, Front Office for a dentist and Front Office, Back Office and Accounting Office for a Neuro-Surgeon, all In Redding Ca.

The mountains of Idaho were calling and we moved to Mccall, Idaho and beautiful Payette Lake and built our dream log house on Lake Fork Creek.  I very much enjoyed my work as manager of a Native American trading post for 10 years and then another 10 years in banking.  From there I retired.

Being tired of the snow in Mccall (5012 ft) after about 23 years we sold our home and moved and bought a home on the famous River of No Return (Salmon River).

We now have retired (HA HA) in West Central Idaho, a tiny town of 360 people, gateway to Hells Canyon.  We have 15 acres where we garden and grow hay.  I enjoy; camping, fishing, hunting, gardening, cooking, canning, travel and our cat Josie!

We try to visit family in Shasta Lake in the Spring, have lots of camping, fishing here in Idaho and we have a Polaris Razr that we like to take rides in.  One of our favorite things has been camping  with our friends on the Salmon River at Stanley, Idaho. We also love spending a week each year at Cody, Wyoming and fishing at Sunshine Reservor near Meeteetse, Wyoming.

I have had a fulfilling life including my vocations and been blessed to have lived in so many beautiful places.
