Bob HaliwellBob and Wife Shirley

After graduation I attended SJ City College for one year. I then joined the US Army Reserves, spent 6 months on active duty and 5 ½ years in active reserves. After active duty I went to West Valley College where I received my AA degree.

After 1 ½ yrs at FMC, I started my 30-year career with IBM in 1968. I started as a draftsman, held many engineering positions, and spent my last several years as a Senior Engineer/Engineering Manager in both development and manufacturing failure analysis. I was married in 1967, my son was born
1971 and I was divorced in 1973.

While working at IBM, I met Shirley, the love of my life. We were married in 1976. She has 2 girls by her first marriage. We now have 7 grand children ranging from 4 to 17! There is never anything that surprises us!!

In 1995, we built our retirement home in Pine Mountain Lake (Groveland, Calif.) After retiring from IBM in 1998 we moved from our home in Paradise Valley, Morgan Hill to Pine Mountain Lake. We are 25 miles from the north gate to Yosemite. We spend 4-5 months of the winter in our place in the Palm Springs area. We love traveling, spending time with our grand children, playing golf, boating, fishing and RVing. I am a cancer survivor and I have had a very full and wonderful life and continue to enjoy every minute of retirement with my friends and family. Due to prior travel plans, we will miss the reunion. Shirley also graduated from Campbell in 1966 so we both know how enjoyable this event will be.
